Backtracking Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our") provides QR Scanner & Generator (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App may collect, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
QR Scanner & Generator is designed so that many core features work locally on your device, including scanning, parsing, creating QR codes, and storing your history and settings. However, some parts of the App rely on third-party services or network access, as described below.

If you enable the App's optional product lookup feature, the App may send eligible retail barcode numbers to third-party product databases so it can fetch product details such as name, brand, category, description, or image.

Many core features of QR Scanner & Generator are designed to work locally on your device. In particular, scanning, content parsing, QR generation, history storage, notes, inventory sessions, attendance sessions, and settings generally do not require a Backtracking Technologies account or a dedicated Backtracking Technologies cloud sync service.
However, the App is not fully offline-only. Network access may be used for ads, analytics, remote configuration, in-app review flows, optional product barcode lookup, and any external action you choose to launch.
Data stored by the App locally on your device generally remains there until you delete it, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.
Please note that the App currently allows Android backup/restore behavior provided by the platform. Depending on your device and Google backup settings, certain local app data may be included in device backup or restore processes controlled by Android.
We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App can open websites, payment apps, email apps, phone dialers, map apps, contacts, calendar apps, Wi-Fi settings, browser tabs, share targets, and other third-party destinations. Once you leave the App or pass data to another app or service, that third party's terms and privacy practices apply.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us directly, please contact us so we can review the situation.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version with a new effective/last updated date.
